Requests by individuals for the issuance of documents confirming legal facts must be submitted in writing (either by visiting the archive in person, sending by mail, via a courier, or through an authorized representative), electronically through the Electronic Archive Information System, via the E-delivery system, or to the archive's email addresses: [email protected], [email protected].
Private information will only be provided after the individual confirms their identity. When such a request is sent by mail, through a courier, or via email, a copy of the applicant's identity document must be attached. If the request is made by a representative of the applicant, they must additionally provide documents proving the individual's identity and the representative’s authorization.
The paid services for searching documents stored in the state archives are defined by the Order of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania No. ĮV-605, dated July 7, 2022, “On the Approval of the List of Paid Services of State Archives and the Procedure for Calculating Fees for Paid Services.”
The service fees are set in the List of Paid Services of State Archives and the Procedure for Providing Paid Services of State Archives, approved by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania in Order No. VE-30, dated July 8, 2022. Payment for services can be made via bank transfer. You can find the Vilnius Regional State Archive’s details and bank account number here. A signed request and a copy of the bank transfer should be sent to or delivered directly to the archive.
